Masters of Education / Adult Education and Distance learning
Those holding Bachelor's degrees who wish to increase and improve the skills needed to successfully teach in a post-secondary environment or training environment in business may wish to pursue the specialization in Adult Education and Distance Learning offered as an online graduate education degree. The program includes study of instructional design, adult learning theories, assessment and evaluation, multiple distance education modalities. Students also focus on self-directed learning and learn techniques, tools, and strategies related with distance education. Students earning online graduate education degrees will learn to use Internet resources, distance education delivery systems, and will focus on how to create rich learning environments and courses for valuable instruction with an array of learners.
The following admission requirements are expected to be met by all applicants to this program:
1) A nationally or regionally accredited U.S. bachelor degree
2) A cumulative graduate GPA of 2.5 or higher
3) 3 or more years of post high school, full-time work experience
